Bolzano

Particularly popular with ski enthusiasts during the winter sports season, Bolzano is a gateway to the Dolomite Mountains in the Italian Alps.

In the centre of the medieval town, the South Tyrolean Archaeological Museum houses the Neolithic mummy called Ötzi, the Ice Man. Nearby is the imposing Mareccio Castle, built in the 13th century, and the Duomo di Bolzano Cathedral with its Romanesque and Gothic architecture.

Bolzano Bozen has a runway length of 1297 metres and can accommodate turboprops.

Bolzano Airport in Südtirol (Trentino-Alto Adige) is a civil airport with a runway suitable for private jet operations.

The airport is located 6 km southwest of the city of Bolzano.
