The benefits of a Maltese AOC

Malta has one of the fastest-growing aircraft registers for business jets and as such, has become a preferred location for both aircraft operators and owners. Aircraft owners may benefit from efficient and cost-effective onshore aircraft registration, whereas the tax efficient infrastructures, the service quality, the professionalism and the responsiveness of Transport Malta Civil Aviation (TMCA) are attracting an increasing number of operators. 

Aiming to broaden its services, Albinati Aeronautics SA decided to offer its customers the opportunity to benefit of such advantages, thus obtained its Maltese AOC in November 2014 through its sister company Albinati Aviation Ltd. Since then, our Maltese fleet (9H-) has grown substantially and now counts 5 Bombardier Global aircraft – all available for worldwide charter. 

The main advantages of Albinati Aviation’s aircraft management services under its Maltese AOC are as follows:

• Malta is a member of the EU and as such, our customers can benefit from the registration of their aircraft for commercial operations within the European Community;
• Being an EASA certified state and having a FAA Category 1 rating, Malta complies with the highest standards of safety and security;
• Fees associated with the operation of a business jet in Malta are amongst the lowest in Europe;
• Tax-friendly environment and no VAT taxation at import for business aircraft commercially operated under an AOC. 

In addition to its Maltese certificate, Albinati Aeronautics has a longstanding Swiss AOC. It allowed the company to lay its foundations and grow to become the largest Swiss-based operator of Global aircraft  (9 aircraft ranging from Global 5000 to the newest Global 6000), thus gaining a vast experience in the management and worldwide operation of ultra-long range business jets.
